“Your service tech did a great job on the new tank installation! Very professional and a good listener. ”
“We started doing business with Valley Energy in June of 2014. We have used 51,000 gallons of low sulfur road fuel, 24,000 gallons of road fuel and 4,500 gallons of regular gas. The quality of the products has been excellent and their pricing has been fair. The service has been great. Our deliver person, Jeff, is friendly and great to work with. We are glad we switched to Valley. ”

“Thank you so much for the quick and easy switch from S… Propane. Valley has no hidden fees like S… Propane and so far 100 times better customer service. After being a S… Propane customer for 5 years and being quoted $2 per gallon over market value for our recent fill, I looked into other propane options and am very happy with the switch. Thank you for alleviating some of the stress from dealing with S… Propane! I look forward to being a long-lasting customer of yours! ”

Propane is a highly versatile fuel for use on the farm. It is energy efficient, cost effective and non-toxic, which will prevent contamination of soil or ground water.

Approved as an alternative fuel under the Clean Air Act and the National Energy Policy, propane is environmentally friendly and clean burning with lower greenhouse gas emissions and carbon dioxide emissions than most fossil fuels.

Valley Energy has many tank options available including above ground and underground tanks in a variety of sizes depending upon usage needs and annual demand.

A FREE standard tank installation is included for each new customer.

A FREE system inspection and leak check is included with each new installation.

Propane for Farming in Western New York

Valley Energy can provide all your propane and associated equipment requirements for all types of agricultural businesses, including applications for:

  • Building heat and hot water for farm houses, tenant houses, livestock buildings/milk parlors, wineries, craft brew houses and greenhouse operations. Propane costs are typically less than electric and continue to operate during power outages, which is critical to agricultural operations.
  • Propane crop drying is the right choice for more than 50% of farmers per the Propane Education & Research Council’s (PERC) Farm Incentive Program based upon its reliability and environmental friendliness. In fact, when propane is used with newer crop drying equipment there is more than 50% energy savings over the use of older equipment.
  • Irrigation engines that operate on propane are significantly more environmentally friendly than diesel or gasoline powered equipment, have lower operating costs and require less maintenance.
  • Flame weed control or insect flaming is growing significantly with the emergence of organic farming. This process can be done in virtually any growth stage and any weather, does not leave any chemical residues on the crops or in the soil, is financially competitive with the use of herbicides and does not damage the soil microbes.
  • Backup generators that provide critical power during electrical outages. This is especially critical to many farms that need to keep their milk houses in operation or other critical equipment operating during prolonged outages.
  • Vehicle Autogas, which is gaining popularity as an alternative fuel to meet federal, state and local emissions standards. Farmers are environmentally conscious and with the selection of propane powered pickups and medium duty trucks to choose from, they will experience lower fuel costs (than diesel or gas) and less vehicle maintenance.
